As we near the close of this year and gear up for another, here are some basic things to keep in mind to help ensure a lower tax rate:
- Avoid an outstanding balance on your tax account
- Avoid any missing quarterly reports
- Avoid any of the above on your predecessor’s account
You can also track and file quarterly reports online through TaxWeb on the State of Alaska Department of Labor’s website: www.labor.alaska.gov
This is helpful even for businesses with only a few employees!
