Thank you readers, cheers to 2012

This New Year holiday week we at Entrepreneur Alaska are taking a moment to reflect.

We officially launched the publication in October and have been running full speed since. We have received overwhelming support from the community and in turn, have had the privilege of talking with many different small business owners.

Though we are constantly refining our goals, looking for ways to expand and always searching for interesting businesses to feature, our purpose is unwavering: to support and highlight small businesses and the entrepreneur community in Alaska.

We have had the wonderful opportunity to meet the creative minds behind:

Entrepreneur Alaska has been fortunate enough to have Brielle Schaeffer join our team as a reporter. She brings with her a wealth of writing experience and continues to share her lifelong love of Alaska through her stories. She will strive to make Entrepreneur Alaska more regionally diverse as she will cover exclusively non-Anchorage businesses. Already we’ve had the opportunity to introduce you to businesses in Ketchikan, Fairbanks, Kenai and Homer. But as we all know, Alaska is huge, diverse and has so many great stories to find. Brielle is going to help us meet business owners statewide.

Editor/designer, Annette Potter, also recently redesigned the website layout and enhanced the online experience for readers. The improvement was much needed and appreciated! We are now on Facebook, too, so please “Like” our page and so you never miss a story.

We invite you to share story ideas with us and send in news tips and help us cover the small business community in Alaska. Leave comments on the stories and send email to Meghan and Annette.

This holiday and year-end as we purchase like good consumers, Entreprenuer Alaska’s New Year’s Resolution is to remember Alaska’s small business community. This is an important time of year for businesses to bring in the New Year in the green and get off to a good start in 2012. Join us in supporting Alaska owned and Alaska made businesses.

May we all have a adventuresome and prosperous 2012. Happy New Year!
