About

Entrepreneur Alaska is an online publication dedicated to celebrating the vast amount of entrepreneurial talent, creativity and cleverness in the great North. There are so many fascinating, industrious Alaskans turning their creativity, skills and passions into business. We want to showcase the work of those bold enough to put their ideas into action, celebrate their success and perhaps even inspire others.

Photographer and Reporter

Wyoming is a professional photographer, web geek and serial blogger. Wyoming attended the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography and has lived and worked extensively in New York City, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Seattle and now Alaska. Her work has graced the cover of Dancer Magazine and has been featured in Mix Magazine and Frontiers Magazine. Additionally Wyoming has photographed lookbooks for designers Candice Held, 3Free and Sarah Van Everah. Wyoming continues to see her work used for corporate websites, advertisements, artist promotion and portfolios and is currently at work on a new art series.  When not glued to the computer or obsessively shooting with one of her many cameras, Wyoming likes to make up her own lyrics to songs, play dress-up, roller skate and drink wine – but thankfully not at the same time!

Katie Dorsey
Copy Editor

You might not see Katie’s name in an Entrepreneur Alaska byline, but she’s hard at work finessing stories and putting commas in their proper places. Katie is a sports writer/copy editor/page designer/web guru at the Tri-City Herald in Kennewick, Wash. Before the Herald, she worked at the Sacramento Bee and (Minneapolis) Star Tribune. She cut her journalistic teeth as a student editor/entertainment writer at The Daily Evergreen at Washington State University. Katie is studying accounting, and she likes to finish her homework ahead of schedule so she has more time to spend with her husband, Jake, and their kitten, Simon Le Cat. She also loves music, particularly that of the early ’80s. Her favorite albums are Prince and the Revolution’s “Purple Rain” and Duran Duran’s “Rio,” but she has been known to belt out some Rihanna or Beyonce at karaoke nights.
